Roswell, GA — Thanks to the generosity of two Roswell philanthropists, a memorable one-day event will leave a lasting memorial for the city of Roswell.

Dwight Cunningham and Peggy Robinson, organizers of the Roswell Wine Festival, will designate the proceeds from the popular one-day event to ArtAround Roswell, an initiative of the Roswell Arts Fund. The donation will be used to purchase Smoke by Marc Moulton as a gift to the city.

The stainless steel statue, which represents smoke rising from a fire and honors the area’s history, will remain at its current location on the Roswell Town Square.

The Roswell Wine Festival was held on Sunday, October 2 on Canton Street. The festival was sold out and has become one of the largest wine festivals in the state. Audi North Atlanta was a sponsor, as well as restaurant sponsors Osteria Mattone, Table & Main, and Vin25.

The two friends started the festival four years ago as way to combine their love of wine and commitment to community service.  Each year, proceeds are donated to different local charity.

“This year, we are thrilled to donate to ArtAround Roswell, an initiative of the Roswell Arts Fund, and we’re honored to be able to keep Smoke by Marc Moulton in our city,” said Robinson.

“Like the Roswell Wine Festival, ArtAround is enriching our city through the arts and culture by bringing people together and encouraging both conversation and commerce,” Cunningham adds.

ArtAround Roswell, an initiative of the Roswell Arts Fund, features ten sculptures on loan to the city by their artists. The “museum without walls” is on display through December 2016. ArtAround Roswell is a partnership between the City of Roswell and the Roswell Arts Fund initiated to bring the benefits of public art to the city, including community involvement and enrichment. Roswell Arts Fund plans to acquire one sculpture as a permanent gift to the city.

All works of art are available for purchase, and sculptures that are not purchased will be returned to their artists in December 2016. For more information about helping to keep the sculptures in Roswell and help build the city’s public art inventory, visit ArtAroundRoswell.org.
