Chalk On presented by Roswell Arts Fund in collaboration with the GA Chalk Artists Guild and Bike Roswell at Roswell Moves is a family-friendly, fun and FREE event including chalk art from professionals and amateurs alike.

Join us on April 28th, 2024 from 10 am to 4 pm at the Hagan Center parking lot (corner of Norcross and Canton) and watch it transform into an an open-air gallery with colorful works of chalk art.  

Feeling creative?  Join in the fun and add your masterpiece to the creative canvas on Canton in our freestyle community chalk area for visitors!

PAT BIANCHI TRIO

A modern ambassador of the mighty Hammond B3, two-time grammy nominated organist and winner of Downbeat Magazine’s 2016 rising star poll, organist Pat Bianchi demonstrates a deep knowledge of jazz-organ history yet draws from a wide range of other musical influences. The result is a unique and creative voice that acknowledges the tradition while looking beyond at the same moment.

His musical tenacity paved the way for 9 CD releases as a leader, extensive tours through out the United States and Europe, appearances at numerous jazz festivals and most recently opening for Steely Dan for 3 consecutive east coast tours. In addition to being a prolific bandleader Bianchi has appeared as a guest on over 35 recordings. The award winning organist has also enjoyed tenured membership in the bands of some of the most highly revered artists in jazz including; Pat Martino, Lou Donaldson, Joe Locke, Ralph Peterson Jr. and Chuck Loeb.

Soprano Bevin Hill has gained attention as a performer of great charm and charisma in a variety of leading roles. While frequently cherished for her comedic gifts, being memorably lauded as a “rubber-kneed goddess of slapstick,” Ms. Hill has also been praised for her nuanced acting, technical finesse, and vocal control interpreting tragedienne roles. We are thrilled to announce Ms. Hill’s return to the Roswell Music Club this year for an encore performance of magical arias, enchanting melodies, and breathtaking exquisite vocal artistry. Versatility and passion illuminate every note she sings.  

A Taste for Art

A Taste for Art is a Silent Auction, showing original works by local artists in many styles and mediums. A charcuterie board and wine tasting will be available. The entry fee is 7$ per person at the door.

Fascinating Rhythms: A Jazz Tribute to George Gershwin

The Big Peach Swing Band returns to Roswell Cultural Arts Center with a jazz tribute to American composer George Gershwin. This American musical icon infused classical music with jazz stylings to create a unique musical genre indicative to the Jazz Era. Our program will feature great arrangements of Fascinating Rhythm, Strike Up the Band, I’ve Got Rhythm, Someone to Watch Over Me, and more Gershwin classics. No tribute would be complete without a few songs from performers that benefited the songs out of Tin Pan Alley. Come see works performed by Basie, Miles, and Jaco in our performance as well!

Six One Five Collective

The Six One Five Collective is a collaborative effort and creative brainstorm of four artists that are steeped in the musical mix of Country, Americana, Folk and Pop. Their sound is an undeniable wall of distinctive harmonies, vocal prowess, and solo voices that are reminiscent of those great American bands that have come before them; Fleetwood Mac, Little Big Town, etc. Their road show is an eclectic mix of original solo music, hit songs they’ve written for other artists, and high energy songs that are the ‘Six One Five sound.’ They‘ve toured around the world opening for John Legend, India Arie, John Hiatt, Kenny Chesney, and others. They’ve played the Grand Ole Opry stage, C2C, and have toured extensively overseas. They are Nationally awarded artists and songwriters with three Grammy nominations and an IBMA Song of the Year honor. Their songs have been written for household names like George Strait, Lee Brice, Marc Broussard, Sister Hazel, and several TV shows such as Nashville, Parenthood, and Virgin River!

Joe Gransden Jazz Milestones: Blues in the Night with Robin Latimore

Acclaimed Jazz vocalist Robin Latimore joins Joe Gransden for an afternoon of new arrangements with an eye towards contemporary jazz sounds fused with blues, gospel, and other musical genres. A New York native now living in Roswell, Joe Gransden has performed worldwide and released 14 albums under his own name. Renowned first for the hard bop approach of his trumpet, Gransden’s singing voice has been compared to that of Chet Baker and Frank Sinatra. Gransden’s sound is at once familiar and comforting but also fresh and vibrant, appealing to music lovers of all ages. Robin Lattimore is an acclaimed local singer whose talent is only matched by her commitment to her community through her work with the Robin Latimore Foundation, an organization that provides scholarships to students fighting cancer.

80s Classic Time Machine

An evening of orchestral classical and rock music presented by Roswell’s Tritone Youth Orchestra and Roswell Cultural Arts Center.

80’s Classic Time Machine transports the audience from the 1980’s to the 18th century in an original, fun and creative musical program that captures the sound and ethos of Roswell’s young musicians. Zac Lavender directs this inspiring group of dedicated high school and college performers playing alongside young professionals, to create an unforgettable evening of beautiful music. Unexpectedly and seamlessly arranged, the program is energetic, relatable and fun! All music was new music once upon a time and the Tritone Youth Orchestra gives voice to local young performers and composers excited to work beyond musical genres, historical stereotypes and artistic stratification. Join us and see why Roswell’s young, fun-loving musicians are the future!
Following the performance, director Zac Lavender and Music By Tritone’s owner Joshua Chari offer a talkback with questions from the audience.
