Art Around Sessions: Gabrielle Beteag – An Interactive Opera Cabaret

But What Will I Wear? An Interactive Opera Cabaret
Join the Roswell Music Club for an unforgettable afternoon as acclaimed mezzo-soprano Gabrielle Beteag and celebrated pianist David Troy Francis bring opera out of the concert hall and into an intimate, immersive setting.
Known for bringing radiant joy and commanding warmth to stages across the United States and beyond, Beteag was a 2020 Grand Finals Winner of the Met Competition. She has performed with world-class institutions including the National Symphony Orchestra, Santa Rosa Symphony, and San Francisco Ballet. Her recent work includes lauded appearances at San Francisco Opera and Wolf Trap Opera, where her portrayal of Mère Marie in Dialogues des Carmélites “conveyed a curious combination of compassion, authority and zealotry”.
At the piano is David Troy Francis, co-founder of the Roswell Music Club and a pianist best known for his steadfast championing and performance of contemporary American music, and an esteemed concert pianist and recording artist. He’s also the composer and executive producer of BARK! The Musical and is a respected composer, arranger and accompanist, bringing both technical brilliance and a storyteller’s sensibility to the stage.
True to the Roswell Music Club’s mission, the evening’s aim is to make classical music feel personal rather than distant; it’s an intimate environment where the focus is on connection, audience interaction, behind-the-music storytelling, and the kind of up-close artistry you simply can’t get in a traditional concert hall.
A rare chance to experience Metropolitan Opera–caliber talent in one of Roswell’s most intimate musical settings.
Presented by Roswell Arts Fund and Friends of Mimosa Hall & Gardens, Art Around: Sessions offers an up-close live music experience inside one of Roswell’s most iconic venues. Every ticket includes wine, non-alcoholic beverages, and light refreshments.
